Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Advisor for Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Supervision to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates . In this pivotal role, you will lead initiatives to ensure compliance with SH&E regulations , develop robust safety programs, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact for all SH&E-related matters, offering expert guidance to management and staff.

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive SH&E strategies and programs in line with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.

• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.

• Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-misses , and drive the implementation of corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate best practices in SH&E across all operations.

• Supervise and mentor junior SH&E staff , supporting their growth and maintaining high standards of performance.

• Stay current with UAE and international SH&E regulations and best practices, ensuring full compliance.

• Develop and deliver SH&E training programs to enhance awareness and skills across the organization.

• Prepare and present detailed SH&E reports and recommendations to senior management.

• Manage emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives effectively.

• Serve as the company representative for regulatory bodies on SH&E matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent certification (mandatory for those with Engineering or related degrees).

• At least 10 years of experience in SH&E, with a focus on supervision and leadership .

• Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and managing effective safety programs .

• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE and international SH&E regulations and compliance requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effective risk assessments .

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , capable of influencing all levels within the organization.

• Proficiency in SH&E management software and reporting tools .

• Demonstrated experience in inspections, reporting, and corrective action follow-up .

• Expertise in emergency response planning and crisis management .

• Familiarity with international standards like ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 .

• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities , with a talent for mentoring and developing team members .

• Solid understanding of local UAE safety regulations and best practices.

• Ability to adapt to cultural differences within a diverse work environment.

• Willingness to travel within the UAE for site inspections and audits as required.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Goal-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement in SH&E practices.

• Decisive in addressing safety concerns and implementing corrective measures swiftly.
