The Lead Rotating Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining all rotating equipment, such as turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. They lead inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities while overseeing maintenance schedules and coordinating with operational teams to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

In addition to hands-on technical work, the Lead Rotating Engineer develops maintenance strategies, supervises junior engineers and technicians, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards. Strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential to maintain continuous and efficient plant operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum 5-8 years of experience with rotating equipment maintenance and engineering.
  3. Strong knowledge of turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and generators.
  4. Experience leading engineering teams and managing maintenance projects.
  5. Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and alignment.
  6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  7. Knowledge of industry standards (API, ISO, ANSI) and safety regulations.
  8. Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  9. Proficient with maintenance management software (CMMS) and engineering tools.
