We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer (Bridges & Tunnels) to oversee and manage the maintenance and rehabilitation works of bridges and tunnels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural engineering, site management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure project execution aligns with technical, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Execution:

  • Oversee and manage site activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, manpower, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement planning strategies for maintenance and rehabilitation works of bridges and tunnels.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take corrective measures to ensure timely completion.

Technical & Engineering Duties:

  • Study technical documents, specifications, and project requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare technical proposals, method statements, and engineering solutions for structural maintenance and rehabilitation.
  • Ensure all engineering solutions align with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Stakeholder & Client Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison with the Client’s representatives, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of site activities.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings, resolving technical issues, and ensuring alignment with project goals.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce QHSE policies to ensure safe and compliant site operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of QHSE compliance at the site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridges and tunnels.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and rehabilitation works within the UAE or GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering codes and standards related to structural integrity and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and other structural analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients and stakeholders.
  • UAE Driving License is an advantage.
