Responsibilities

• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced to upkeep equipment and to avoid breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete turnover quickly and efficiently to satisfy and meet guest needs.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and be available in emergencies, applying the appropriate action as per hotel policy and standards.
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and colleagues’ health and safety, and to conserve the environment.
• Comply with hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally be a licensed high/low pressure boiler operator with previous experience in a similar role and proven knowledge in operating equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines and/or steam boilers. A good command of English and the ability to fault-find and rectify subsystems are essential.
