We have an urgent requirement for Senior OpenShift & Linux Platform Engineer — OpenShift 4.x experience is MUST for our client in Dubai. We have 2 positions, if you are interested please refer your friend.

The OpenShift & Linux System Administrator will be responsible for architecting, deploying, securing, and maintaining enterprise-grade OpenShift 4.x clusters along with managing Linux-based systems across on-premise, hybrid, or private cloud environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in container orchestration, DevSecOps, automation, and platform security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain OpenShift 4.x clusters (on-premises/bare-metal/hybrid).
  • Perform UPI (User Provisioned Infrastructure) installations of OpenShift on bare-metal servers.
  • Administer OpenShift components: nodes, projects, namespaces, services, routes, ingress controllers, persistent volumes, and operators.
  • Configure GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, Flux, or similar tools for automated deployments.
  • Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Tekton Pipelines.
  • Implement and manage OpenShift Service Mesh, Network Policies, and Ingress configurations.
  • Administer cluster security with RBAC, SCCs, Pod Security Policies, SELinux, image scanning tools (Trivy, Clair), TLS, and firewalls.
  • Deploy and manage Helm charts, custom resource definitions (CRDs), and OpenShift Operators.
  • Manage centralized logging and monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stack.
  • Perform system automation using Ansible, Terraform, and shell/Python scripts.
  • Administer Linux systems (RHEL 7/8/9, CentOS, Rocky, AlmaLinux) including patching, tuning, and security hardening.
  • Monitor system performance and uptime; ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Network, App Support) to ensure platform compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support incident and change management processes in accordance with ITIL standards.
  • Assist application teams with onboarding and deploying containerized workloads.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure roadmap sessions.
  • Document systems, configurations, and procedures in alignment with internal IT policies.

Requirements

  • Strong Experience on OpenShift 4.x (Production-Grade Environments) is MUST.
  • Strong Experience on Linux System Administration (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky) is MUST.
  • Strong experience Automation Using Ansible, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), Helm is MUST.
  • Strong experience on CI/CD Integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton Pipelines) is MUST.
