Role Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and culturally attuned Consultant Hematologist to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in diagnosing and managing both benign and malignant hematologic disorders, with a strong commitment to evidence‑based care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage hematologic conditions, including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukemias, lymphomas, and myeloma.
• Diagnose and manage hemophilia, sickle cell disease, and other clotting disorders.
• Oversee bone marrow biopsy procedures, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy regimens.
• Collaborate with oncology, pathology, and radiology teams for integrated patient care.
• Provide consultative services to inpatient and outpatient units.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans.
• Contribute to academic teaching and CME programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Board‑certified in Hematology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent).
• Licensure: DOH (HAAD) license or eligibility required.
• Minimum 5 years post‑specialization in a tertiary or academic hospital setting.
• Proven expertise in both benign and malignant hematologic conditions.
• Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills.
