The Scoop on the Role:

This role involves closely collaborating with stakeholders to design, deploy, maintain, and monitor live services and the underlying network infrastructure. As a Principal Network Architect, you’ll focus on architecting, deploying, and operating cloud-based GRC and HRIS services and SaaS products, ensuring the security and connectivity of critical operations processes.

The role’s areas of focus:

  1. Architectural Leadership: Lead the creation of advanced network architectures and designs within a team of technical leads.
  2. Technology Evaluation: Proactively evaluate and assess new networking technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  3. Technical Standards: Develop technical solutions and establish standards, policies, and procedures for network infrastructure.
  4. Infrastructure Management: Manage cloud network resources, application flows, and security elements as code, integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
  5. Automation: Automate workloads using tools and services like Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  6. Security Compliance: Implement security policies with a risk-based approach to ensure GDPR and InfoSec compliance.
  7. Security Collaboration: Work with the security team to implement best practices for cloud network security.
  8. Agile Participation: Participate in Agile Scrum standups supporting software deployment to secure cloud networks.
  9. Monitoring Solutions: Implement monitoring solutions for network infrastructure across multiple clouds, using open-source tools like Grafana.
  10. Vendor Management: Act as the primary interface with third-party network and security vendors for Grouper.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience or certification in Azure WAF, Checkpoint NGFW, NGINX/F5 API Management & NGINX App Protect Web Application Firewall.
  • Experience with IT governance standards and frameworks such as ITIL, PCI, SOC.
  • Extensive experience in network architecture for microservice APIs.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Ansible, Azure DevOps, or Terraform.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence.
  • Linux shell scripting expertise.
  • Experience with git repositories.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with load balancer design, SSL termination, and application/solution design.
  • Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP, or similar are desirable.
  • Knowledge of advanced traffic management, including JWT/OIDC and third-party identity provider integration.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a Microsoft MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification or similar.
  • Is proactive, security-conscious, and results-driven.
  • Holds an advanced degree (preferred).
  • Has experience working in agile, Scrum environments.
  • Holds certifications in cloud technologies like Azure and AWS.
