Director of Media (Brand & Content)
We’re looking for a Director of Media (Brand & Content) to lead the creative and strategic content initiatives for a brand growing from a personal ecosystem into a global, iconic company brand.
This is a full‑time position, carried out remotely or from our beautiful offices in Dubaï or Lisbon. French and English fluency are required.
Your Responsibilities
- Architect the Dual‑Brand Strategy, building a symbiotic plan that reinforces David Laroche’s personal brand and Paradox’s company brand without cannibalisation.
- Propose radical new formats (documentary, reality show, conceptual short) that shatter the boring codes of the Self‑Help industry.
- Define distinct, sharp editorial lines for each platform: Depth & Search for YouTube, Aesthetic & Vibe for Instagram, Authority & Authenticity for LinkedIn.
- Drive radical concepting and end‑to‑end delivery, taking responsibility for the entire production chain: writing hooks, storyboarding, and ensuring the final cut matches the vision.
- Recruit and manage the team required to realise each concept (motion designers, drone operators, niche experts) and onboard them.
- Ensure David appears as an actor on set by providing flawless scripts, set design, and direction so he can perform without mental load.
- Lead the internal content factory (Factory Manager, Video Editors, Graphic Designers) by setting tempo, culture, and daily standards of excellence.
- Provide high‑level artistic direction and act as the final quality check; nothing is published unless it meets the Paradox Standard of aesthetics and storytelling.
- Challenge the team to constantly upskill, pushing them for sharper cuts, better sound design, and stronger visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with the Head of Growth to produce assets specifically designed to convert in ads, treating content as the primary acquisition channel.
- Analyze retention graphs, CTR, and CPL to iterate based on feedback, killing what fails and aggressively scaling what works.
Qualifications
- Proven content builder: successfully grown a media brand, YouTube channel, or personal brand to significant scale (100k+ followers or millions of views). Understand mechanics of virality and retention.
- Editorial leadership experience managing a creative team (editors, designers) and raising the level from good to masterpiece.
- Elite scripting skills: can showcase scripts that performed, with strong hooks, structured narratives, and engagement lasting 20+ minutes.
- Performance fluency: experience where content drove business results (ads, launches, conversion) rather than vanity metrics.
