Senior Engineer – NOC

Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing critical network infrastructure and systems in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and applications using industry‑standard monitoring tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Respond to and elevate incidents according to established procedures, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
• Analyze system logs, alerts, and performance metrics to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations for knowledge management and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including network administrators, system engineers, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, system updates, and configuration changes in accordance with change management procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and assist with knowledge transfer and training.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).
• Generate reports on system performance, availability metrics, and operational trends for management review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network operations, infrastructure management, or a similar technical operations role.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with incident management, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues systematically.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience working in 24/7 operations environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent industry certification.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with multiple monitoring and management platforms.
• Leadership or mentoring experience with junior technical staff.
• Advanced networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure as code practices.
