Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
  • Experience programming in Java or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing tools for monitoring and managing infrastructure capacity.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement horizontal infrastructures with high throughput, low latency and high quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to quickly test new ideas.
  • Resolve technical and scaling bottlenecks.
  • Work with multiple teams across Search (e.g., Sports, Entertainment, Discover etc.) to identify growth opportunities and build the best Notification User experience, thereby growing Search.
  • Learn and apply advanced techniques on load shedding, at-scale triggering and versatile fulfilling to achieve streamlined updates of critical features to Search users.
