Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • Ability to communicate English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in technical consulting or development roles working with other teams, customers or partners.
  • Experience in internet products and technologies in software engineering, product management, engineering program management, technical account management, business engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in working with music operations or licensing teams.
  • Knowledge of the music industry.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google’s online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google’s partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The YouTube Partner Engineering (YPE) team delivers support for premium products (e.g., YouTube Music, Television (TV), Living Room, etc.). We deliver solutions to help the entertainment industry, consumer devices, and audience measurement partners provide the excellent product quality across the vibrant digital ecosystem.

The Music Partner Engineering team works with the Partner Management team to license music rights on the platform through Music Publishers, Collection Societies and Music Labels agreements, enabling YouTube users to enjoy their music on YouTube.

Responsibilities

  • Help the partner-facing team by developing the infrastructure in which they can build tools and systems to support the partners. Provide training, documentation and technical expertise to accelerate the development.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the tools and systems required by the business and technical partner-facing teams to support the partners.Identify, drive, and optimize the flow from business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.
  • Perform implementation reviews, drive new product features and internal tools, and ensure the prompt resolution of technical tests.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.
