Vice President of Communications Role Overview
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a seasoned communications executive who has operated at the most senior levels within large-scale publicly listed organisations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in defining how the organisation is perceived by investors, analysts, regulators, global media and wider stakeholders, ensuring the corporate narrative aligns closely with strategic priorities, financial performance and long-term value creation.
This mandate extends well beyond traditional corporate communications. The role sits at the intersection of reputation management, financial communications, investor engagement and governance, requiring strong executive judgement and experience operating in highly scrutinised listed environments.
Key Responsibilities of the Vice President of Communications
- Lead the global communications function for a major international organisation
- Shape the company’s reputation and positioning across capital markets, global media and key stakeholders
- Provide strategic counsel to the Board, Executive Committee and senior leadership team
- Oversee communications related to investor messaging, financial performance and earnings cycles
- Develop market-sensitive narratives aligned with financial disclosures and strategic priorities
- Manage relationships with analysts, institutional investors, regulators and exchange authorities
- Lead crisis communications and reputation management at a global level
- Drive the transformation and modernisation of the communications function
- Build an integrated communications framework across media, digital, internal and stakeholder channels
Candidate Profile | Senior Corporate Communications Leader
The successful candidate will be a senior communications leader with experience operating within large, publicly listed organisations, ideally within energy, infrastructure, industrial or similarly complex global sectors.
Global Reputation Management and Crisis Leadership
- Experience leading communications within a $50Bn+ publicly listed organisation
- Strong background in financial communications and capital markets messaging
- Experience advising Board and Executive Committee stakeholders
- Deep expertise in reputation management and crisis communications
- Proven experience representing organisations with regulators, exchanges and international media
- Demonstrated ability to transform and modernise communications functions
- A global mindset with the ability to position a major organisation within the international landscape
