During period of Recent heavy rainfall, the primary access road to the building becomes waterlogged, leading to the following critical safety concerns:

• Obstruction of the main entrance and exit route
• Increased risk of slips, trips, and fall-related injuries
• Delayed or unsafe emergency evacuation
• Restricted access for emergency responders (ambulance, fire services, etc.)

These conditions result in occupants avoiding the main entrance, thereby compromising building safety protocols and evacuation efficiency.

To mitigate the identified risks, it is proposed to install a dedicated emergency exit door at the rear side of the building, specifically near the swimming pool area. This exit will serve as an alternative safe egress route during emergencies and adverse weather conditions.

Design and Planning

• Conduct site inspection and feasibility assessment of the rear (swimming pool) area
• Prepare architectural and structural design for the emergency exit door
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and emergency egress standards
• Identify optimal door size, placement, and opening direction for efficient evacuation

Civil and Structural Works

• Marking and cutting of wall/opening for door installation
• Structural reinforcement (if required) to maintain building integrity
• Construction of access pathway leading to the exit (if not already available)
