Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs from definition to successful delivery.
  • Experience driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and streamline business processes.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with R, SQL, spreadsheets, or similar analytics tools.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.

About the job

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The Core Data Team provides the common data infrastructure that accelerates innovation and AI development across Google product areas. Core Data partners with users across Google to help teams assemble the right lineup of solutions, products, or components for their data infrastructure and AI workloads.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage Core Data and cross-Product Area relationships through influencing and collaborating with team members and executive management to drive Google-wide outcomes.
  • Enable Executive-level Core Data and Product Area Interlock.
  • Ensure customer-centricity within the Core Data organization, serving as the customer, informing product strategy.
  • Cultivate ongoing strategy and technical alignment.
  • Support product/solution outreach and adoption efforts across audiences and channels.
