Role reports to the CFO, EMEA, and serves as a Trusted Advisor and Business Partner to the CEOs and leadership team across the region.

• Part of the leadership team for the region, helping to set and deliver the strategy for profitable growth.
• Lead the finance team and function, collaborating with colleagues in EMEA and globally, managing day-to-day finance and accounts operations, ensuring compliance with UAE and Saudi regulations.
• Play a key regional role in the Regional HQ, including compliance with local roles and activities, with support from Edelman as needed.
• Form and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, upholding fairness, transparency, integrity, active listening, and collaboration on agreed paths forward.
• Lead budgeting and rolling forecast processes in line with regional and global processes; identify revenue and margin growth opportunities and potential barriers for discussion with leadership.
• Manage cashflow and working capital, pursuing positive cashflow on client contracts and maintaining relationships with clients and procurement to enable strong commercial results.
• Oversee cash management and collections, monitor liquidity needs, banking relationships, and foreign exchange management to support objectives.
• Strengthen client pricing, legal and negotiation processes; uplift financial literacy within the business consultants to enable profitable client relationships.
• Ensure client and project management aligns with client base and procurement policies.
• Identify issues in contribution margin and overservice; propose solutions and escalate for senior support when needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, audits and compliance in line with US GAAP and local FRS, working with auditors and internal teams.
• Maintain sound accounting procedures and controls with ongoing updates to support clean balance sheets and audits.
• Manage taxation matters including provision and compliance, ensuring tax reporting meets statutory requirements and communicating local tax changes to the regional team.
• Lead and develop the finance team (7-8 staff; 2-3 direct reports); motivate, coach and train.

Knowledge and Skills

• University degree in Accounting/Finance and/or professional qualifications such as ACCA.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in client finance, project accounting, FP&A, with at least 7 years in a managerial role.
• Understanding of drivers of financial performance and ability to influence profitability of client accounts and the business.
• Ability to share key business and financial insights to inform leadership and influence positive behavior.
• Proven track record of building strong internal and external relationships with management, consultants, clients and procurement teams.
• Ability to navigate a multi-market environment and develop pricing strategies that work efficiently in this context.
• Keen business acumen, strategic thinking and strong analytical skills.
• Effective leadership capabilities and communication skills; strong sense of compliance and integrity.
• Strong business partnering skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business teams.
