Role Overview

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that simplifies complex technical concepts. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to produce manuals, API guides, internal documentation, and more.

  1. Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including user manuals, API guides, technical specifications, and online help content.
  2. Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather accurate information.
  3. Translate complex technical information into clear, structured, and reader-friendly content.
  4. Review and edit documents for clarity, consistency, and compliance with internal style guides.
  5. Maintain and organize content in documentation repositories with version control.
  6. Create visual aids such as diagrams, flowcharts, and architecture overviews to support documentation.
  7. Work with UX/UI teams to seamlessly integrate documentation into product interfaces.
  8. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in technical writing.
  9. Assist in documenting test cases, test scenarios, and QA processes when needed.

Qualifications

التعليم

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

الخبرة

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical writing role within a software development or IT environment.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar project/ticket tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of APIs, software architecture, and IT systems.
  • Proficient with documentation platforms such as Confluence.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL) is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate technical jargon into accessible language.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and web technologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Certification in Technical Writing or related fields.
  • Experience with bug/issue tracking and documentation tools.
