Assistant Professor in Architectural Engineering

United Arab Emirates University, Department of Family Medicine inviting applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The department seeks a highly qualified candidate with the following credentials.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
  • A Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering with emphasis in one or more of the following areas: Building Technology; Building Construction; Advanced Digital Engineering; Information and Communication Technologies (e.g., BIM, Digital Twins, VR); Building Performance and Simulation; Building Science; Construction Management.
  • Proven ability to teach integrated design studios and related subjects at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering or a closely related field from an internationally recognized institution.
  • Strong research credentials with a record of publications in leading scientific journals.
  • Proficiency in English, the medium of instruction at UAEU.
  • Recent Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply; preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience or professional practice.

  • Professional practice experience with a portfolio demonstrating design excellence.
  • Proven ability to develop and secure funded research projects involving both undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse constituencies.
