About the job Senior Structural Engineer (NM)

Stantec is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team and support on a Construction Site and Supervision project in Dubai.

Key Tasks and Duties

• Monitoring the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
• Reviewing, approving and processing all structural technical submittals.
• Answering RFIs related to Structure and Architecture.
• Assist in supervising the work of all structural activities and operations, maintaining progress records and reporting.
• Reviewing contractors structural change order proposals and preparing recommendations to Structural PM.
• Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
• Reviewing contractors claims related to structural works and preparing recommendations for claims.
• Reviewing the contractors project record documents relevant to their discipline.
• Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start‑up, testing, commissioning and handover of the structural works.
• Signing off on completed structural works with completed documentation and maintaining the required record.
• Perform all other duties given by Senior Structural Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of ME experience including 5-6 years experience in UAE working in an international consultant environment.
• Healthcare project experience is advantage (Hospitals, Clinics, or Laboratories).
• Strong technical knowledge in exterior envelope details and material interface.
• Good knowledge of the Dubai and UAE building codes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
• Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
