• Review and revise existing energy programs ensuringenergy initiatives align with corporate sustainability goals and operational priorities.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Deal confidentially with all the information related to work to protect the interests of the company and its activities.

Energy Saving Initiatives

• Conduct Level 1 & 2 HVAC, lighting and energy audits and performance assessments, particularly focusing on HVAC systems and high-consumption areas.
• Review and analyze monthly consumption reports from TAQA, DEWA, SEWA, and FEWA to identify anomalies, unusual usage, trends and identify the buildings for improvement.
• Coordinate and follow up with internal teams to ensure proper execution of energy initiatives and sharing of data on time (utility bills, equipment logs etc.).
• Supervise the implementation of Energy Conservation Measures including the replacement of outdated chillers and air conditioning units, transition to LED lighting, installation of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) on motors, and water‑saving retrofits and plumbing upgrades.
• Evaluate the long‑term performance of energy systems and vendors, providing input for contract renewals, system upgrades or vendor changes.
• Assess 7X buildings for potential upgrades to meet green building standards (e.g., Estidama, LEED).

Recommend and evaluate emerging energy‑efficient technologies and practical energy‑saving measures to meet operational and sustainability targets.

Project Management

• Design and execute retrofit projects including planning, testing and handover by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop technical proposals, cost estimates and implementation timelines for energy‑saving projects and participate in vendor selection and negotiations.
• Monitor the implementation of energy‑saving projects including technical support; ensuring timely delivery, quality and alignment with defined objectives.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Director to implement Energy Management Plans (includes Retrofitting equipment for energy efficiency, switching to renewable energy sources, Implementing building automation systems) to support the organization’s environmental sustainability goals.

Synergies with Stakeholders

• Coordinate with Procurement to develop new contracts pertaining to energy‑saving projects and the necessary commercial review of the contracts.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure energy‑saving initiatives are carried out in an efficient and timely manner.

Reports

• Prepare and present an annual energy savings report summarizing energy saving initiatives, outcomes and recommendations to the Engineering Director for effective decision‑making.

Other Tasks

• Perform any other responsibilities relating to this job request or work task as allocated by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Qualifications and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Holds Certification in Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent

Training in Energy audit methodologies, Energy Management Systems (EMS) & HVAC, Lighting and Building automation systems.

Knowledge of utility billing systems and benchmarking tools

Energy‑saving project implementation and coordination

Vendor and stakeholder management for energy‑related projects

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
