Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience with GenAI technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).
  • Experience making business decisions, including identifying gaps or business needs, evaluating product launches, and innovating and scaling solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple senior stakeholders, influencing safety strategy and operational execution at all levels.
  • Ability to think logically and work effectively in a fast-paced/constantly changing environment and to influence cross-functionally and cross-geographically with all levels of management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed – with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Direct the safety roadmap for high-priority GenAI launches, delivering robust testing frameworks and mitigation strategies for complex user harms and product vulnerabilities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in engineering, product, GDM (Deepmind), and legal, synthesizing perspectives to command alignment on high-stakes decisions.
  • Act as the safety subject matter expert to embed guardrails directly into the product development lifecycle, ensuring they are “safer by design”.
  • Convert traffic patterns and safety signals into strategic intelligence. Anticipate emerging risks to influence product roadmaps and drive continuous innovation.
  • Bridge high-level strategy with precise execution, orchestrating complex testing workstreams with partners while serving as the primary “front-door” for safety-related work.
