MEA REGIONAL MANAGER

GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY CENTER

The MEA Regional Manager is in charge of managing the mobility of Schneider Electric employees for the Middle East and Africa region, overseeing inbound and outbound assignments. The role reports to the Global International Mobility Center VP and works closely with the Regional Managers in Europe, APAC and Americas.

The MEA Regional Manager is supported by two team members and is expected to provide superior customer service in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and the International Mobility policies. The role requires broad HR experience and a proven track record in managing international mobility, along with extensive technical knowledge of HR issues such as compensation & benefits, process implementation in the MEA region, and a deep understanding of mobility external market practices.

The MEA Regional Manager must be results‑oriented, customer‑service focused, and able to collaborate closely with the Global International Mobility team, the Global Executive Rewards team, and regional stakeholders.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Stakeholder management and advisory: cultivate relationships with HR Business Partners, Shared Services and Finance teams to increase understanding of existing mobility policies; propose policy enhancements; monitor external trends and regulatory changes that impact assignments.
  • Lead Operations: manage day‑to‑day operations throughout the assignment cycle, including immigration, relocation, social security, mobility benefits, payroll and tax; validate compensation worksheets, assignment contracts and reward campaigns; work with finance and accounting to provide total cost view and ensure timely vendor payment.
  • Deliver excellent assignee experience: supervise team and vendor customer service, measure performance through SLAs and KPIs, partner with the group security team, conduct client review meetings at country/region level, streamline and simplify processes for continuous improvement.
  • Team and project management: lead and mentor the MEA Mobility team, contribute to and lead mobility projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven influencing, problem‑solving and advisory skills.
  • Experience leading and working in a multicultural team.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Global Mobility.
  • Strong mobility experience in Middle East and Africa markets.
  • Strong technical expertise in tax and legal aspects of mobility.
  • In‑house experience managing global mobility programs.
