As an AWS Technical Account Manager, you are a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for Enterprise Support customers, shaping strategy and ensuring successful adoption of AWS services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer.
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
  • Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade‑offs, and risk management.
  • Consult with partners from developers to C‑suite executives.
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
  • Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
  • Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, and pre‑launch planning.
  • Resolve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud.
  • Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown‑bag sessions, etc.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role such as Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Architect.
  • Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data & Analytics, Security, Applications, and Development.
  • Internal or external customer‑facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences.
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Customer‑obsessed mindset.
  • Professional experience with cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Programming or scripting skills (Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP) – a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes (Chef a plus).
