To advance this vision, AURAK invites applications for the position of Director of the Advising, Tutoring, and Counselling (ATC) Center — a pivotal leadership role shaping the University’s integrated student success strategy.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive student retention and progression strategy aligned with institutional KPIs.
- Establish the ATC Center as a high‑impact, visible hub for academic support, early‑alert intervention, and student engagement.
- Drive the enhancement of advising systems, tutoring programs (Math & Science Center, Writing Center, Peer Tutoring), and academic probation frameworks.
- Leverage analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen cross‑functional collaboration with Deans, Department Chairs, Enrollment Management, and the Registrar to address structural and non‑academic barriers to student persistence.
- Ensure compliance with FERPA, accessibility regulations, and UAE higher education accreditation requirements.
- Champion evidence‑based practices and professional development aligned with global advising standards.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an experienced higher education leader with:
- A Master’s degree (Doctorate preferred) in Education, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in student success, advising, academic support, or related domains.
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and implementing institution‑wide retention initiatives.
- Strong analytical capability and experience utilizing student information systems and success technologies.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes within diverse, multicultural university environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
