Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of technical program management or equivalent experience in hardware manufacturing or operations.
- Experience in factory processes, specifically SMT, FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Packout), and quality inspection systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in ROI methodology, statistical analysis, and managing headcount/capital expenditure rollups.
- Ability to assess the technical complexity of automation Network Threat Intelligence (NTI) and align technology development with product roadmaps.
- Ability to influence cross-functional leads and drive consensus across different business units and regions.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Google engineers are developing the next-generation of Automation for our Pixel manufacturing. As a member of a creative and talented team, you will work with cross-functional partners and vendors to deliver next-generation automation solutions to our lines. We need our engineers to be versatile and passionate about addressing difficult problems and questioning the status quo as we continue to push technology forward.
As an Automation System Technical Program Manager, you will bridge the gap between cross-functional engineering teams and factory operations to deliver products at the lowest cost and highest quality. You will lead the development of a scalable automation roadmap that aligns with leadership goals of reducing headcount (HC) and improving manufacturing value-add (MVA).
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. المسؤوليات
- Define and drive the automation roadmap across functions.
- Establish “pure manual” headcount baselines to accurately assess and justify return on investment (ROI) for future automation investments and Process Documentation. Oversee the documentation of automated processes.
- Coordinate with the Systems team to standardize factory data collection and develop real-time monitoring dashboards for Capability Process Index (CPK) information and line status.
- Identify and evaluate strategic automation partners and vendors to scale technology deployment.
- Executive Communication: Represent the Technical Operations team in Steering Committees, providing updates on automation ROI, headcount savings, and technical readiness.
