Working Hours: 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday (UAE time)

The Role

As a Buy Side – Investment Intern, you will work directly with our Head of Investments and senior associates in our Dubai office. You will be trained to find, qualify, and value e‑commerce stores (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.), and contribute to real acquisition decisions. This is a hands‑on role – you will be on the front lines of deal sourcing and investment analysis.

• Proactively identify potential acquisition targets on marketplaces (Flippa, Acquire, etc.) and via direct outreach to Shopify stores.
• Execute daily outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, forms) to sellers, brokers, and partners.
• Build relationships with intermediaries to generate off‑market opportunities.

Qualification & Screening

• Apply our investment criteria (revenue, profit, ad history, fulfilment model, etc.) to filter inbound leads.
• Use our proprietary AI qualification tool to assess deal fit and flag red flags (ad account issues, declining revenue, etc.).
• Learn to reconstruct P&L statements, normalise EBITDA, and calculate risk‑adjusted multiples.
• Assist in preparing initial offer structures (cash + earnout) using our internal valuation model.
• Draft clear, concise investment memoranda summarising business overview, financials, risks, and recommendation.
• Present findings to the Head of Investments and contribute to go/no‑go decisions.
• Help prepare due diligence checklists and data rooms.
• Coordinate with sellers to collect financial, operational, and marketing documentation.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Analytical mindset – comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and basic financial concepts (revenue, profit, EBITDA, multiples).
• Self‑starter – able to work full‑time in our Dubai office and hit weekly activity targets.
• Curiosity about e‑commerce, digital marketing, and online business models.
• Currently based in Dubai (or able to relocate immediately at your own cost).
• Dutch speaking (a strong advantage for sourcing in the Netherlands/Belgium).
• Prior experience in sales, business development, investment banking, private equity, or e‑commerce operations.
• Familiarity with Shopify, Google Ads, or Meta Ads.
