3. Analysing patient historical data.
4. Performing specialised tests to diagnose patients.
5. Determining proper courses of treatment.
6. Performing endoscopic procedures to inspect internal organs.
7. Performing X-Ray, MRI, and ultrasound scanning.
8. Performing surgery in the digestive tract.
9. Consulting with other specialists such as oncologists in the case of cancer.

Gastroenterologist Requirements / Skills / Qualifications

1. Medical degree.
2. Completion of a three-year work experience in this stream.
3. Completion of Gastroenterology specialisation degree.
4. Attention to detail.
