Job Title: Director of Video Production

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Creative Director

As the Head of Production, you will lead and manage the end-to-end production process for all video and creative content.

  • Oversee all stages of video production from concept to delivery, including pre‑production, shooting, and post‑production.
  • Lead a team of producers, editors, videographers, and content creators, ensuring high‑quality output.
  • Manage production schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met across multiple projects.
  • Allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and manage budgets for all production‑related tasks.
  • Develop and mentor production team members, enhancing their technical skills and creative growth.
  • Foster collaboration between creative teams, producers, and external stakeholders to ensure a unified vision.
  • Ensure clear communication between the production team, creative teams, and client servicing.
  • Collaborate with the social media, creative, and strategy teams to align production efforts with overall content strategies.
  • Ensure content is optimized for social media platforms.
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging, tone, and style across all video and digital content.
  • Maintain high production quality standards across all deliverables.
  • Stay updated with the latest production technologies, techniques, and social media trends to incorporate into the production process.
  • Encourage experimentation with new formats, storytelling techniques, and video styles that drive engagement.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide regular status updates on production projects to leadership and clients.
  • Address any production challenges or bottlenecks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage production budgets, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Negotiate with external vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Forecast and report on production costs, and suggest improvements for process optimization.
  • Implement and refine production workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all productions adhere to legal requirements, copyright laws, and best practices for social media content.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in video production, with a focus on social media content.
  • Proven experience in managing a production team and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and teams.
  • In‑depth knowledge of video production tools, editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects), and post‑production workflows.
  • Experience with different content formats (short‑form, vertical video, GIFs, etc.) and knowledge of video optimization for social platforms.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to conceptualize and execute compelling social media content, with a keen eye for visual storytelling and an understanding of how to engage audiences on social media.
  • Strong budgeting, resource management, and scheduling skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget constraints.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure, anticipating production challenges and developing solutions proactively.
