To lead and manage the trading function of Mashreq Securities, ensuring superior execution and client service across UAE, regional, and international markets. The role is responsible for trading desk revenue, operational efficiency, compliance, and market competitiveness.
Key Result Areas
- Performance Management: Deliver trading desk revenues and market share across UAE, regional, and international execution.
- Execution Excellence: Establish and monitor best execution standards across local and global markets.
- Product & Service Development: Strengthen and expand execution capabilities across listed securities and exchange-traded products, aligned with client needs and within SCA approvals.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to SCA regulations, UAE exchange requirements, and relevant international regulatory frameworks.
- Client Engagement: Partner with sales and relationship teams to provide execution support aligned with client expectations.
- Manage execution challenges across multi-market environments, including routing, liquidity, and settlement.
- Resolve compliance and regulatory escalations across jurisdictions.
- Lead process and system improvements to handle regional and international execution efficiently.
- Adapt execution strategies in response to volatile market conditions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, or Economics; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 10–15 years’ brokerage/trading experience, including managing execution in UAE, regional, and international markets.
- Deep understanding of UAE exchanges (DFM, ADX, Nasdaq Dubai) and access to global markets.
- Proficiency in OMS, Bloomberg, and international market infrastructure.
- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial acumen, with proven ability to deliver results.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a trading role, with a proven track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE, regional, and international financial markets.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- A results‑oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue and operational excellence.
- Compliance certifications or relevant training is an asset.
