Lead Creative – Engineering Team Leader

We are looking for a Lead Creative, also known as Engineering Team Leader, to join our Engineering team at Radisson RED Silicon Oasis Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the property’s technical infrastructure while fostering collaboration and innovation across the engineering department.

  • Assist the Chief Engineer and Assistant Maintenance Manager with day‑to‑day operations.
  • Organize and manage the maintenance and repair functions of the R&M, HLP and Plant Section.
  • Assure implementation of policies, standards and procedures for:
    • Energy conservation and control
    • Water and sewage quality control
    • Fire prevention and other life safety programs
    • Effective plant preventive and routine maintenance
    • Operation and control of plant and equipment
    • Energy management systems and procedures
    • POMEC Logs and utility consumption
    • Inspection and staff supervision
    • Appearance and housekeeping of boiler room and all equipment rooms
  • Determine optimal operating efficiencies and take corrective measures based on logs and utility data.
  • Support and initiate programs to improve procedures and reduce energy and utility costs.
  • Analyze and monitor energy costs and expenditures for the Department.
  • Recommend new policies and procedures for more economical operation and maintenance programs to the Chief Engineer.
  • Participate in preparing the annual POMEC Budget.
  • Maintain effective employee relations.
  • Ensure smooth operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain equipment and machinery record system for the property.
  • Participate in fire prevention training programs.
  • Determine programs for routine plant preventive maintenance and implement them.
  • Ensure the hotel’s repair and maintenance order system follows policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for SCM and Rezpin – purchase requisition.
  • Check daily attendance sheets and post attendance.
  • Distribute maintenance orders.
  • Receive incoming memoranda.
  • Maintain all equipment record files as detailed in the POMEC Technical Maintenance Manual.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance work in equipment record cards and files.
  • Comply with the Health, Safety and Hygiene Policy.

Occasional Duties

  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Report to the Chief Engineer/Assistant Maintenance Manager.
  • Cooperate with others in the Engineering Department.
  • Interact with guests and outside contractors as directed.
  • Work with other departments when needed to provide services for events, promotions and festivities.

General Duties

  • Attend meetings or training sessions as required by management.
  • Be conversant with:
    • The Hotel Fire Procedures
    • The Hotel and Company Security Procedures
    • The Hotel Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
    • The Hotel Facilities and Attractions
    • Current Licensing Regulations (Engineering Department only)
    • Methods of payment accepted by the Company (Cash Handling Staff only)
    • Hotel operation standards and departmental procedures
    • Short and long‑term training procedures
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
