Talent Connect Group (TCG) has just partnered with a high-growth FinTech/InsurTech firm building the next generation of AI-powered underwriting technology and they’re hiring a Principal Data & AI Leader to drive it.

This is a critical, senior leadership hire where you’ll own the delivery of a next gen AI platform already supporting a live product used in production.

The Opportunity…

You’ll lead the evolution of an AI-driven underwriting platform owning everything from strategy → execution → stakeholder management.

This is not a theory role…

They need someone who has built, shipped, and scaled AI systems in production.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Lead and scale a multidisciplinary team (Data, AI/ML, Full-Stack, Front-End)

– Own end-to-end delivery, governance, and reporting to senior leadership

– Drive the next phase of AI & LLM integration (automation, chatbots, intelligent workflows)

– Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate AI into real commercial impact

Tech Environment

– Data Platforms: Snowflake / Databricks

– AI Focus: Production-grade AI + LLM applications

What They’re Looking For

– 10+ years in AI / Data with a strong hands-on engineering background

– Proven experience leading engineering/data teams (not consultancy-only)

– Track record of building and deploying AI/LLM solutions in production

– Still close enough to the tech to get hands-on when needed

– Not suited to founders / consultants — must be currently embedded in an organisation
