My client is a leading hedge fund with a strong emphasis on scientific research, data, and collaboration . With proprietary platforms, vast data infrastructure, and global reach, they operate at the forefront of modern trading.

As they continue to grow their Execution team globally , they are hiring Junior Traders to support their proprietary trading business – with an initial focus on commodities, particularly energy markets , and a clear path to broader asset class exposure over time.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor live trading activity and system performance during assigned shifts
• Use and improve execution tools and perform post-trade analysis
• Collaborate with strategy owners and provide insights into market dynamics and liquidity
• Ensure all systems and data pipelines are ready for the trading day
• Conduct manual trade execution for systematic and discretionary strategies (ad hoc)
• Participate in longer-term projects to help expand systematic and discretionary trading capabilities

What They’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
• Programming experience in at least one major language (Python, C++, Java, etc.).
• Prior exposure to power or gas markets is a plus – though not a hard requirement.
• A strong interest in finance and trading.
• Clear communicator and global team player.
• Fast learner with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a high-speed, high-stakes environment
