Multi-Strategy firm seeks Lead Developer & Technical Architect to design a .Net, Python, Azure PaaS; onsite UAE role, package: 600k-800k AED, tax-free, includes relocation.

This Multi-Strategy Investment Manager with >20 yrs’ successful track record seeks a Lead Developer & Technical Architect for a newly created role designing, building and implementing a Greenfield .Net, Python and Azure based PaaS (Platform as a Service) offering to enable the optimization of Application Development community (>70 developers) through standardized design and development patterns and faster shipping of tools and apps.

Focus of role
– Managing relationships with parallel Application Development and Systems Engineering functions, identifying issues in Developers workflows.
– Design, build and implement an Internal Development platform that enables self-service cloud environments.
– Establish best practices and patterns that facilitate seamless integration between Development and Cloud operations.
– Design and implement scalable, high-performance architectures that support Agile development practices.
– Lead the creation of standardized deployment patterns for .NET and Python.
– Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
– Grow the team; you will be the 1st hire into this team, with 2 more Application Developer level individuals to be hired over the next 12 months.

Skills and Experience required
– Fluency in English.
– Bachelor’s / Master’s in STEM field.
– Minimum 10 yrs’ Application Development and Architecture experience.
– Current expertise in .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET MVC.
– Minimum 3 yrs’ Python.
– Experience with IaaC tools – Chef, Ansible, Terraform.
– Experience of Docker / Kubernetes (AKS or EKS).
– Minimum 5 yrs’ Cloud experience with either Azure / AWS.
