Our client, a specialist in providing advanced systems engineering and project management services within the oil and gas industry, is recruiting for a Lead Piping Engineer. They are specialists in developments in remote, hostile or deepwater environments.

They work in all phases of project development from concept evaluation through Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, PMC, EPCM, construction, commissioning and operations with a strong competence in Concept Evaluation and FEED.

Their requirement is for a candidate who has a detailed understanding of the standard UK, USA and International design codes. Capable record of leading a team with the standard aspects of steel and flexible pipeline and bundle design.

Experience in strain based design / ECA, deep water, ice, extreme environments, lateral/upheaval buckling, 3D wave stability, pipe soil interaction within an advanced FE package of significant benefit.

Desirable experience also includes:

• FEA Capability with experience in Abaqus and ANSYS
• Performing detailed ECA Deepwater pipeline design
• Geohazard pipeline design
• Ice interaction
• HPHT design and mitigation
• Soil – pipe interaction and Landfalls design

The role is based in London.
