We are recruiting a Legal Counsel in Dubai, UAE, on behalf of a fast-growing, multinational investment group. This is a high-impact, hands-on role offering broad exposure across commercial, corporate and transactional matters, with a clear long-term pathway to General Counsel and Board-level responsibility.

Legal Counsel Role Overview and Strategic Business Impact

The Legal Counsel will act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, providing pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of matters including commercial contracts, investments, real estate transactions and M&A. The role will also oversee corporate governance and company secretarial responsibilities across a complex international group structure, working closely with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Counsel Position

• Advise on commercial and corporate legal matters, including contracts, compliance and governance
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, investment documentation and real estate transactions
• Support M&A activity, including due diligence and transaction execution
• Manage relationships with international external counsel
• Oversee corporate secretarial duties across a multi‑entity global structure
• Ensure regulatory filings, board documentation and governance processes are completed accurately and on time
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the group
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to align legal strategy with business objectives

Ideal Legal Counsel Candidate Profile

• Qualified lawyer (JD or equivalent) admitted in at least one jurisdiction
• Long‑term experience within an international corporate environment or top‑tier law firm
• Strong grounding in commercial law, corporate governance and M&A
• Experience supporting private equity or investment structures across multiple jurisdictions is highly advantageous
• Comfortable operating across both Common Law and Civil Law frameworks
• Highly organised, commercially minded and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English essential; additional languages are a plus
