Overview

We are looking for an experienced Library & Archives Unit Head to lead the development and management of the museum’s library and archival collections, supporting research, curatorial work, and knowledge preservation within a world-class cultural institution.

• Lead the development and management of the museum’s library and archival collections
• Oversee cataloguing, classification, and documentation in line with international standards
• Ensure the preservation, conservation, and digitization of archival and library materials
• Provide research support and information services to curatorial teams, scholars, and internal stakeholders
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for archives and library management
• Manage collection development, acquisitions, and partnerships with research institutions

المتطلبات

• Proven experience in library science, archives management, or information studies
• Bachelor’s degree in Records Management & Archival Science or a relevant field
• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant position with proven experience in team management
• Strong background in archival systems, cataloguing standards, and digital collections
• Experience working in museums, academic institutions, or cultural organizations is highly desirable
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
