Overview

To all the aspiring students in STEM fields seeking international scholarships to pursue their higher education, Opportunities Radar presents an exciting opportunity offered by Muhammad Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in the UAE. Applications are open for the MBZUAI Scholarship 2026, a full scholarship for graduate study.

The MBZUAI scholarship is available to international and UAE domestic students pursuing full-time Master’s and PhD degree programs with their finances fully covered. To continue the scholarship, recipients must maintain the institute’s academic requirements.

Scholarship Coverage

  • 100% tuition fees coverage
  • Monthly stipend
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Health coverage

The scholarship applies to graduate degree programs (Master’s and PhD). MBZUAI also offers undergraduate programs, but the scholarship does not apply to those programs. The application deadline for the MBZUAI graduate admissions is December 15, 2025.

Available Degree Programs

  • MSC Programs: Science in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Computer Vision, National Language Processing, Robotics, Data Science & Statistics
  • PhD Programs: Computer Science, Natural Language Processing, Robotics, Data Science & Statistics

Note: The institute also offers a Master’s in Applied Artificial Intelligence (MAAI), but the scholarship does not apply to this program.

Eligibility Criteria

Master’s Degree Program

  • Open to both domestic and international students
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields from accredited institutes recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education
  • English test exempted for citizens of the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom
  • Minimum CGPA 3.2/4.0

PhD Degree Program

  • Open to both foreign and UAE nationals
  • Master’s degree in STEM fields from accredited institutes recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education
  • Minimum GPA 3.2/4.0
  • English test exempted for nationals of the UK, USA, New Zealand, and USA

Required Documents

  • Online application form
  • Updated resume/CV (research publications, experience, academic background, coding skills)
  • Two references for MSc and three references for PhD applicants
  • Research statement for PhD applicants
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Passport copy
  • Applicant’s photo with a white background

For UAE Nationals

  • Emirates ID
  • Passport copy/ID number
  • National service exemption letter (male applicants)

  1. Step 1: Complete your online application with all required documents before the deadline
  2. Step 2: Prepare for the screening exam
  3. Step 3: Some applicants will be invited for a technical interview with the admission committee
