Obstetrician and Gynecologist Consultant (Tawam Hospital)

Provide expert care for high‑risk pregnancies, including management of maternal complications and fetal anomalies.

• Perform and interpret advanced prenatal imaging and diagnostic procedures (e.g., fetal ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling).
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions involving neonatology, genetics, radiology, and other specialties.
• Guide the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care of complex obstetric cases.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetrics teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Engage in academic teaching, research, and continuing professional development (CPD).
• Comply with SEHA and DOH policies, guidelines, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Completion of specialized training in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license, CCT UK, American Board, German Board, and/or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience post‑specialization, with significant exposure to high‑risk obstetrics.
• Previous SEHA or GCC experience is an advantage.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Expert knowledge in general Obstetrics and Gynecology cases, maternal‑fetal medicine and prenatal diagnostics.
• Proficiency in high‑resolution obstetric ultrasound and fetal procedures.
