About the Role

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at this government facility, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions affecting the oral and facial regions. • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ oral and facial conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include surgical interventions
• Perform surgical procedures, such as extractions, implants, and corrective jaw surgeries
• Diagnose and manage oral diseases, infections, and congenital deformities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Oversee post-operative care and monitor patients’ recovery
• Engage in community education and outreach programs regarding oral health
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DMD) with specialized training in oral and maxillofacial surgery
• Experience in performing various oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures in a clinical setting, preferably in a government or community health environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of current surgical techniques and practices
• Strong understanding of oral anatomy, pathology, and surgical management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and staff
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex surgical cases
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in emergency situations
