Overview

Power BI Specialist role at Dicetek LLC. The BI Specialist should be a full-stack data & analytics professional – strong in BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP BO), ETL/integration tools (Informatica, SAP DI), data storage systems (Oracle Exadata, SQL Server, Hadoop), and adept at managing hybrid on-premise + cloud BI ecosystems. They should have data governance, security awareness, and higher education domain knowledge to ensure BI initiatives align with institutional goals.

المسؤوليات

  • Design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Integrate multiple data sources into Microsoft Power BI (on-premise and cloud versions).
  • Manage BI ecosystems across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments, including data governance and security considerations.
  • Publish and share reports on Power BI Service and Power BI Embedded; manage workspaces and access controls (RLS).
  • Connect Power BI with data sources such as Hadoop Datalake, Oracle Exadata Data Warehouse, Oracle databases, SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
  • Ensure performance optimization and troubleshooting for Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate on enterprise reporting and self-service BI initiatives; leverage tools like Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Automate, and Excel (advanced).
  • Apply expertise in Tableau dashboarding and SAP Data Integrator ETL tooling where relevant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in data visualization and business intelligence.
  • Strong data understanding, analysis, and interpretation skills.
  • Data modeling and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
  • Power Query (M language) for data transformation.
  • Experience building KPI dashboards and performance scorecards; advanced visualization techniques and data storytelling.
  • Knowledge of data security, row-level security (RLS), and workspace management.
  • Proficiency with tools including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Automate, and Excel (advanced).
  • Experience with Tableau dashboarding and SAP Data Integrator ETL tool.
  • Experience with Informatica for data ingestion; familiarity with Oracle Fusion ERP or other ERP systems and Student Information Systems.
  • Experience in integrating Power BI with Data Lake and using Power BI Cloud options and embedding Power BI as widgets in applications.
