We are looking to hire a dynamic and experienced electrical engineer for a newly ventured business segment for GI in the Middle East with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Job Responsibilities

1. Testing and commissioning of transmission substations (132kV, 220kV & 400kV)
2. Technical supervision, site coordination, and design of electrical projects.
3. Understanding and regular follow-up for customer’s power requirement needs.
4. Conduct site surveys of existing arrangements.
5. Analyze electrical systems, designs, and components; prepare drawings and load schedules.
6. Liaise with local utility organizations in view of customer requirements.
7. Coordinate with the Project Manager for evaluation of project costs.
8. Execute projects as per the latest local utility standards.
9. Attend client/customer meetings.
10. Order material requirements and check availability at the site prior to the start of work.
11. Supervise site technicians and ensure adherence to schedule.
12. Report to the Project Manager on a daily basis.

Job Requirements

1. Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of transmission substations (132kV, 220kV & 400kV)
2. Familiarity with testing and commissioning of power transformers, gas-insulated switchgears, LVAC, etc.
3. Proven engineering experience, preferably in electrical contracting or power transmission and distribution-related businesses.
4. Knowledge of the latest international standards and specifications of local utilities.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 2+ years of relevant experience
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3. UAE Driving License is an added advantage.
