Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of industry experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, or digital marketing, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building trusted-advisor relationships with C-level executives, and managing multiple projects, business leads, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with Google Ad Solutions, expertise in video advertising (AI-powered Performance and Video, CTV) and understanding of competitor landscape across traditional and digital media advertising.
- Ability to sell/propose creative technologies across a landscape of various decision makers.
- Ability to develop joint business plans in ambiguous environments, influence/collaborate across organizations, and drive business success for the customer and Google.
- Excellent tactical thinking skills, systems thinking, and the ability to align strategies to deliver customer business outcomes.

We’re a DC-based Large Customer Sales team managing the Executive Branch and Civilian Agencies for the US Government. This Account Executive will be focused on growing revenue year over year.
In this role, you have an expertise in advertising, and an understanding of how the US Government (and its media agencies) markets and advertises its programs and services. You will proactively uncover client needs, anticipate decision-making processes, and align our product suite to their goals. By setting and executing a clear goal, you will help clients reach users while identifying long-term, collaborative opportunities to cultivate their business.

We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google’s full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. - Build trusted advisor relationships with executive government officials and their media agencies to influence long term strategy and budget decision making. Manage partnerships with a proactive, self-driven approach.
- Craft and deliver compelling, data-driven proposals that align with the client’s key challenges and objectives, rooted in Joint Business Plans and Total Opportunity pitches.
- Develop deep understanding of clients’ organizational objectives, challenges, and industry dynamics. Become their indispensable business advisor.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, including pipeline hygiene, opportunity sizing, forecasting, and execution.
- Be viewed as a vertical expert, translating market trends and Google’s AI, Search, and Video tools into innovative business opportunities.
