Minimum qualifications:

Shopping is a high-visibility product and a fast-growing area for YouTube, achieving 5x growth in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) last year. It is also a complex three-sided marketplace that operates by simultaneously serving viewers (shoppers), creators, and merchants (brands).
As a Data Scientist on this team, you will be responsible for building a link between the YouTube Creators who make content and the Brands selling their products. You will build intelligent recommendation and ranking systems that connect creators with the most relevant merchant offers, and vice versa. This is a great opportunity for those who are excited by early stage growth products and building solutions from the ground up.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. المسؤوليات

  • Design experiments and methods to measure improvements across all aspects of engineering development to ensure high-confidence launch decisions (e.g., rater accuracy, ranked recommendations).
  • Prototype models to estimate input features like expected earnings and probability of engaging with an offer.
  • Use data to uncover headroom opportunities in the current ecosystem.
  • Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources via relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python). Format, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality.
  • Perform analysis by utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python). Using comprehensive technical knowledge, use custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
