Overview

Project Manager within PRG’s Middle East operations is responsible for a wide range of deliverables across our music, corporate, large-scale special events and sports sectors. The role is client facing and requires creativity and resourcefulness to service clients regionally and globally, including production agencies, promoters, tour management, event organizers or corporate entities.

Our Project Managers are responsible for full commercial, logistical and technical production of their events with a clear focus on fiscal/margin control. The role requires a solid understanding of the technical delivery environment, excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, people management skills and technical knowledge.

• Pre-production: Field incoming enquiries, obtain accurate briefs, develop a comprehensive understanding of client project requirements, develop and present a commercial response in line with the company pricing policy and expected financial performance, provide project management support and technical guidance including equipment specifications, logistics solutions, scheduling and 3rd party provisions within the scope of delivery, manage technical elements across lighting, rigging, video, audio and scenic elements, prepare method statements and risk assessments, attend production and site meetings, manage project cashflow and variations, construct/amend contract terms, manage invoicing and reporting of change orders, budget for sub-hired equipment and freelancers, book equipment in the rental system (Winhits) and coordinate with Operations and HODs, assist with client demos and programming sessions.
• Pre & Onsite: Brief Technical staff with show elements and schedules, supervise show build/installation, act as point of contact for show-specific support, comply with Health and Safety policies, ensure crew PPE and dress standards, supervise freelance staff, liaise with contractors to ensure on-schedule integration, attend events and liaise with client on site to deliver a high-quality show.
• Off Site: Attend weekly meetings, stay up to date with PRG policies, ensure confidentiality of information, observe company policies and procedures, represent PRG’s interests regionally throughout the delivery process.

Health & Safety

Ability to maintain a safe, clean and hazard-free environment and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Rules. Ensure issues are reported accordingly.

Qualifications / Core Competencies

• Proven track record within the live events industry, specifically in audio, lighting, rigging & video.
• 5+ years in a similar role are essential.
• Ability to prepare proposals to customer specifications against budget; strong negotiating and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Current health and safety qualification IOSH or equivalent is desirable.
• Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal skills; strong networking abilities to build and maintain client relations.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; experience creating drawings using CAD/Vectorworks; experience with equipment rental software is an advantage.
• Understanding of the Company’s product range and procedures; knowledge of electrical safety and safe working practices; ability to translate data from specifications into drawings and plans.
• High numeracy and literacy; attention to detail; ability to work in a team and meet deadlines; ability to work independently with clear goals; financial awareness and business acumen; ability to prioritize heavy workloads; willingness to travel to other PRG locations/venues; willingness to work extra hours when necessary; positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges.
• Full clean driving license is essential.
