Role Overview
Subsea7 is hiring a Senior Electrical Hook Up Engineer who will support and coordinate the electrical and instrumentation hook‑up activities onshore and offshore. He/she will oversee and manage vendors and subcontractors, maintain good relationships with the client, develop technical requisitions for material and equipment, and define technical scope of work for subcontracted services. The role involves offshore hook‑up campaign preparation, including job cards, material tracker, tie‑in list, and all activity lists.

Onshore
- Attend risk assessments – Level 1.
- Review all relevant engineering documents (P&ID, loop checks, wiring diagrams, technical datasheets, cable schedule).
- Prepare materials, job cards and bags & tags prior to offshore works.
- Ensure that applicable procedures are implemented (hook‑up execution plan, safety and risk assessment, installation procedures).
- Write interface requests, requests for information, site queries to final client when additional information is required.
- Prepare material requisition for hook‑up tools & equipment.
- Prepare technical scopes of work for subcontracted services.
- Develop job cards for site work execution.
- Prepare offshore mobilisation of material and personnel.
- Ensure safe preparation of offshore operations.
Offshore
- Report safety observations regularly to maintain high safety standard level at the work site.
- Participate in site toolbox talks and contribute to safety discussions.
- Participate in offshore surveys (tie‑in point identification, site routing, identify potential clashes).
- Provide inputs to update offshore planning (hook‑up sequences, physical progress).
- Prepare offshore material requests based on work sequences and schedule.
- Supervise electrical and instrumentation installation work at site, ensuring subcontractor works according to Subsea7 safety and quality standards and deliver according to client expectations.
- Manage E&I subcontractors and vendors, forecast required resources to respect project planning and ensure efficient delivery.
- Manage technical issues offshore (and issue technical queries to client as required).
- Populate red‑line mark‑ups as per site condition and submit for approval.
Key Qualifications
- Engineering Degree associated with Electrical or Instrumentation specialties.
- Previous experience in topsides E&I construction activities.
- Ability to propose decisions on technical items, resources and procurement.
- 10 years minimum of relevant work experience.
- Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project).
- Fluent in English (speaking & writing).
