The Senior/Legal Consultant will provide legal advisory and support across business functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while enabling strategic and operational objectives. The role focuses on contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk mitigation within a healthcare and innovation‑driven environment.

المهام الأساسية

Legal Advisory & Business Support

  • Provide timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Support the Chief Business Officer & General Counsel in aligning legal strategy with business objectives.
  • Advise on regulatory requirements, particularly within healthcare, data protection, intellectual property, and commercial operations.

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements including vendor, partnership, consultancy, NDA, intellectual property, and service agreements.
  • Ensure all contracts are compliant with UAE laws and internal policies.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of corporate governance frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws, regulations, relevant health authority requirements (e.g., DOH, MOH), and data protection requirements.
  • Assist in internal audits, regulatory filings, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and organizational information.
  • Uphold IHLAD’s Code of Conduct, ethics, and corporate governance standards.

Risk Management

  • Identify legal risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Support in managing disputes, claims, and potential litigation in coordination with external counsel where required.

Policy Development

  • Draft and review internal policies, procedures, and legal documentation to ensure compliance and best practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and Clinical teams to provide legal guidance on cross‑functional matters.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors, regulators, and government authorities as needed.

Competencies and Skills

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of UAE legal framework and regulatory environment.
  • Contract drafting and negotiation expertise.
  • Understanding of healthcare laws and regulations and compliance (preferred).
  • Familiarity with data protection laws and corporate governance practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s Degree (LLM) is an advantage.
  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate, healthcare, or regulated industries.
  • Experience working in‑house, with a government, or with a reputable law firm strongly encouraged.
  • Knowledge of UAE laws and regulatory frameworks is essential.

Working Conditions

  • Office‑based role with occasional interaction with external stakeholders and authorities.
  • May require flexibility to support business‑critical legal matters.
