Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience in cognitive AI, natural language understanding (NLU), speech to text, text to speech and machine learning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
  • 2 years of experience with designing, training, and deploying Transformer or Conformer-based models for audio/speech tasks.
  • Experience with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR).
  • Experience with C++, Python and Speech Recognition.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Design, train, and evaluate novel AI based architectures for on-device Automated Speech Recognition (ASR), speech enhancement, and other audio intelligence features.
  • Apply advanced knowledge distillation, quantization, and pruning techniques to adapt large, server-class models for efficient on-device inference.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance, real-time audio processing pipelines in C++, optimizing for latency, power, and memory on our custom SoC.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and ML framework teams to influence the design of next-generation ML accelerators and software stacks, ensuring our algorithmic needs are met by future silicon.
  • Serve as the technical lead for on-device audio algorithms, guiding architectural decisions and defining the long-term technical roadmap.
