Our client – one of the largest banks in the UAE is currently looking for a Technical Lead for the Card Management Systems application support team. This is a permanent role and will be based in the Head Office in Abu Dhabi.

This is a management position and the successful candidate will be leading the Cards Processing Systems application support team of 5 (including two Senior Technical Analysts). You will report into the Group Leader for Delivery Channels Support.

A strong technical background in card management systems is essential as your technical input is crucial, especially when handling incidents and making decisions. The role involves:

1. Performance management of the team (including monthly reviews)
2. Building yearly objectives for the team
3. Attending management meetings
4. Training staff

Minimum Requirements:

1. Degree in IT/Computer Science
2. Sound leadership skills
3. A minimum of 12 years in IT Applications industry
4. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Card Management Systems (Authorization, Switching, Issuing and Acquiring)
5. Knowledge of VISA and MasterCard Platforms is a must.
6. Experience in Core Banking applications is a plus.
7. Oracle Database experience is a must.
8. Experience in Unix / Linux is a great plus.
9. Thorough knowledge in Settlement, Card Issuance, Card Delivery and Statement Generation processes is a must.
10. Thorough Knowledge in POS Applications and POS Management Systems is a must.
