Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience with management for temporary and contingent workforce – contracting, financial management, compliance, etc.
- Experience with solution modeling in operations environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing transformational projects, with competing resources, priorities and changing workflows.
- Experience in Project management with proven ability to understand, document, and transform complex processes.
- Experience designing and implementing metrics to improve business processes.
- Experience defining, launching, and driving process redesign initiatives to improve internal and external facing processes and operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a technology environment.
- Experience working closely with various internal groups to understand business requirements, implementing new processes, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder focus, including exceptional leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
About the job
Our team is a central vendor operations team supporting the Platforms and Devices (P&D) Product Area (PA). We partner with stakeholders across various Product Areas and provide support including, but not limited to, operations consulting, vendor management, operational reporting and analytics, cross product area program management, and operation support of Product’s goal in a compliant and scalable manner. The goal of this team is to increase productivity of our stakeholders and bring in economies of scale, efficiency, and operational diligence by deploying vendor operations.
As part of this team, you will fully immerse yourself in data, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations and strategies. Furthermore, you will actively engage in the development and execution of supplier programs, encompassing cost negotiations, supplier performance management, and assessment of your recommendations’ outcomes through follow-ups. You will enhance extended workforce productivity and efficiency across Google. You will have experience establishing and managing extended workforce engagements, to support various teams within the Platforms and Devices product area. Your job will require you to be a trusted advisor and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to help transform their supplier engagements and drive operational efficiencies. You will have experience in cost negotiation and efficiency projects, strategic supplier development, contract drafting and negotiations, supplier performance management, and other related tasks. You play an important part in managing product/work areas globally. You will be responsible for engagement with product areas/engineering teams, driving efficiencies and making their operations exceptional.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google’s various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user’s interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
المسؤوليات
- Identify opportunities, develop projects/programs to transform a less mature workflow to mature operation, identify relevant metrics around quality, cost efficiencies. Implement metrics, manage process and operational changes.
- Identify process gaps, implement changes, and measure improvements to existing process frameworks. Develop solutions, work to manage risks across the organization and develop best practices for extended workforce management.
- Draft agreements and collaborate with key stakeholders (legal,suppliers) to execute the Statement of Work (SOWs) and drive operational efficiencies by supporting supplier transitions, geo-location transitions,etc. Manage transitions, including team alignment, training, contracting, POs, progress tracking etc.
- Establish the appropriate metrics and ensure all aspects of vendor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and SLAs are tracked accurately and consistently met.
- Lead regular business reviews. Identify areas for improvement, implement changes and provide thought leadership around vendor strategy and operations.
