The Senior z/OS Storage Specialist will provide operational support and guidance to internal clients. This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of daily storage management tasks, as well as providing recommendations for effective and efficient management of storage systems across all mainframe disk subsystems, virtual and non-virtual tape systems, space management, and Global Mirror (DR) maintenance. The individual will be part of the Larger Systems Support team and will work specifically on Storage/SAN/NAS and Backup Systems.

Core Skills:

• Solid experience with the z/OS operating system, including DFSMS (HSM, RMM, & DSS).
• Extensive working experience with IBM storage products, including DS8700.
• Configure & Maintain Remote (XRC). Experience with PPRC is required.
• Support and maintain the IBM Flashcopy process for QA (FC & MainStar).
• Good understanding of IDCAMS, including creating and managing datasets, System/User catalogs, and USS Files.

• 13+ years of relevant experience in a large-scale z/OS storage environment.
• At least 10+ years of experience as a senior storage specialist in a z/OS environment.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing or a related field (Mandatory).
• IBM Mainframe Certified Storage Specialist (Mandatory).
