Our AI agent helps businesses handle even the trickiest, high-stakes customer support queries safely and effectively, all while giving them the visibility and control they need to trust the outcomes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">We\u2019re a remote-first team but love getting together in London once a week to collaborate, catch up, and have occasionally been known to become <em>overly<\/em> competitive during socials (think arcade games or axe throwing  ).<\/p>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">If you\u2019re excited to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI and help shape the future of customer service, we\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n<h3>   As an AI Engineer at <a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/gradient-labs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gradient Labs<\/a>, you will\u2026<\/h3>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">As an AI Engineer at <a href=\"https:\/\/himalayas.app\/companies\/gradient-labs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gradient Labs<\/a>, you would spend your time doing:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"min-height:1.5em\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\"><strong>Enhancing our agent:<\/strong> you would develop, evaluate, optimise and add to the skills that make up our agent. This includes preparing &amp; curating datasets, iterating on agent enhancements, testing and evaluation of those changes all the way through to shipping successful approaches into our production platform.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\"><strong>Experimenting &amp; prototyping<\/strong>: you\u2019d keep up with the latest NLP and generative AI news and releases. You will prototype and experiment to identify opportunities to enhance our platform with the latest state-of-the-art.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\"><strong>Data analysis<\/strong>: you would analyse datasets of customer queries, support tickets, and related information to gain insights into patterns and discover areas that our agents could further automate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>  We\u2019re looking for people who are..<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"min-height:1.5em\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Excited to push the boundaries of what\u2019s possible for autonomous agents that imitate human behaviour<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Motivated to operate in a fast-pace environment, rather than longer research cycles<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Can quickly summarise, replicate, and test ideas from research papers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Driven more by making an impact on the products they\u2019re helping to build than academic research outcomes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Can persevere: many ideas you will experiment with will be ambiguous and might fail, a successful person in this role will find the strength to keep trying<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Comfortable building with LLMs and have experience shipping LLM products to production (ideally have experience using Go)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>\u2753Questions<\/h3>\n<h3>What is the salary?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">The final compensation will depend on the relevant skills and experience of the candidate but generally we pay within top 5% of comparable roles at seed stage startups.<\/p>\n<h3>Where is this role based?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"min-height:1.5em\">Ideally, we&#8217;re looking for someone who can come into the London office (close to Liverpool Street Station) at least once a week.
